2.5 hydraulic clutch master, slave and pipework

Selling off one (or bits :o) of your XM collection, or perhaps searching for those elusive headlight washer covers? This is the place to do it.

2.5 hydraulic clutch master, slave and pipework

Post by mace » Tue Apr 17, 2018 2:49 pm

Hi folks,

In a similar vein to the recent thread about clutch cable for 2.1...

Am probably needing a new master, slave and pipework for mates XM. Including the little plastic fluid reservoir.

Any suggestions as to where items of such rarity can be obtained?

Ta,

Miah

Try Noz who runs club-xm.com
He was well into running 2.5's and is located a bit south of Falkirk.
Or else there was a stash of off road 2.5's south of Glasgow.
David Hallworth on here might know about them.
Citroenxm on here might know of other 2.5's in Scotland from his contacts.

Swapping the pipe work on the 2.5 hydraulic clutch is a real pig of a job.
The one I did took about a week on and off, much more thinking time than actual work
In the end apart from removing the drivers seat to lay in the car little else needed removing.
Ask before you start and make sure you have the release tool for the pipe mid joint if recovering bits.

Hi John,

Noz doesn't really have any spares. David doesn't either, but I'll double check. I've dismantled a 2.5 before so at least know where the pipes run under the carpet etc.
Is the release tool something I'd need to fabricate, I'm guessing?

Thanks,

Miah
