Turbo oil return pipe + O/S/F Strut Pipe

Selling off one (or bits :o) of your XM collection, or perhaps searching for those elusive headlight washer covers? This is the place to do it.

Turbo oil return pipe + O/S/F Strut Pipe

Post by Degens » Fri May 18, 2018 5:54 pm

Dear all,

I just had my car, a Citroen XM VSX Turbo first registration 1997, at the garage and there appeared to be some issues unknown to me. The garage told me it needs:

O/S/F Strut Pipe (for LHM fluid)
Turbo Oil Return pipe

If any of you have these parts I would be pleased to hear from you. Off course, happy to pay for it.

Hans

Welcome to the Forum Hans and out of interest where are you located? The strut return pipes are quite readily available on ebay or from main auto factors but I am not sure about the turbo pipe. Is it a petrol engine you have? With regards, Matthew T.

Dear Matthew,

I am in Alsager. Our garage could not get hold of the strut return pipe (for the HLM fluid). It is a turbo petrol engine indeed. While writing, I am also having a problem with the front window; the cables are frayed and I have no idea how to remove the caps and put them on new cables (I think that would solve the problem, as the motor works).

Thanks for contacting me,

Hans

I have a Turbo oil return, it seats into the block with a rubber sleeve and a flange secured by two bolts to the turbo core, it is a braided line.
I will need to dig it out and make sure i do have it mind.

The return line for the strut is easy to find and i would only fit a new one.
Here is one from GSF
and here is the securing clamp

Dear D,

yes, it looks like it. I will ask my garage as I am not technical, though I would like to learn!

Thanks for looking! Please keep apart if possible.

Best wishes,

Hans

It isn't going anywhere, if you want it and it is the correct part (which if it is a 2.0Tct it will be) then just let me know.

It looks like the turbo oil return pipe is correct and we will surely buy this off you if possible. Not sure yet if the OSF strut pipe is correct. Will hhear from garage soon.
Thanks, best wishes, Hans
