Hi Stuart
I take it its the turbo charged version not the 2.0i N/A version then?
And if you could let us know the spec of the car ( i, si, prestige etc etc) also does it have leather and A/C?
Thanks
D

Ah yes i think i know who took them, was his name Dave by any chance

only safe way is to have an a/c engineer round to evacuate the system for you, shouldnt cost much at all but i would wait for requests first, the longer the system stays gased the better.
Whats the project anyway?

Hi Stuart,
I spoke to you a few weeks ago about an engine mount, but you hadn't removed the engine yet (is it out now?).
I was going to email a pic of the part but I haven't got round to it yet (I need to remove other parts to get access so I can photograph it).
I would also be interested in the strut tops if they're in good condition.
I assume the engine is going into a Puegeot...........?

yeah enigine is going in a 205 i'm affraid, which engine mount is it, the car is in the garage now so i'm starting to do it all, one of the top mounts has slight surface rust, and the othr is tip top, Dave in here bought the seats and can tll you what condition there in, i understand they can fetch a fair few quid, they wr going to go on ebay, but if a sensible offr is made i dont mind letting them go through here.
i have access to the citroen microfiche at work, so i can get the pictures of the break down of the engine mounts from there and email them to you if that would be easier

Hi Stuart,
the part I need is a rubber engine mount which sits under the right hand top engine mount. It consists of a metal plate, held down by two or three bolts and has a solid rubber block with a metal disc on top which the engine mount sits on. You'll see it when you remove the engine. Hopefully you won't need it for your conversion job.
It's part no. 5 on this diagram........
Here's a better picture of it
Putting the strut tops on Ebay is probably the best thing to do. You'll get the best price that way, and everyone gets a fair crack at them. Don't forget to include some photo's though.

It may have been someone called dave who took the seats...
I did have a look at the strut tops, and from a fairly inexpereinced perspective they looked ok, If we could have got them off i would have had them!
The n/s had surface rust, and it didnt look like the gaiter had slipped down, but the car was on low. the o/s didnt appear to have any rust, again only viewed from the top.
