Does anyone have a link to where I can buy valve springs for a ZPJ4 engine...or do you know if they are compatible with any other engine in the series.

You should be able to find aftermarket items easily, you will need to know the spring diameter, installed height, open height, bind height and installed spring pressure. I would think any cam shaft specialist would be able to help, someone like Kent cams or similar.

Dean, I,m also looking for a set of std. piston rings...you mentioned in another post they were easy to find... but they are not...the ZPJ & ZPJ4 are different in that the top ring is 1.5mm thk. on the 4 & 1.75 on the zpj...any one have the oem. part number for these rings.

Trying to find a set of NOS piston rings sporting OE part numbers for an engine that was produced in such tiny numbers over 20 years ago will be a tall order, far easier to go to a specialist as piston rings are like any other seal, bush, spring or bearing.

Try this crowd, the site explains how to measure up for new rings and you should be able to order a set without any problems, on the off chance that 24v rings are a special one off type (which PSA are unlikely do as a mainstream manufacturer) then they can make you a set to spec.

A little closer to home, 1.5, 1.75 and 2mm are common compression ring thicknesses, the XU10 engine uses a 1.5mm top compression ring.
once you have measured up you should be able to source them without too much bother.

Interestingly i just found a set of 3.0PRV forged pistons at 9/1 and 11/1 compression ratio with H beam rods for not unreasonable amount of money...
