ok who wants to go halfs on this little lot.................

Selling off one (or bits :o) of your XM collection, or perhaps searching for those elusive headlight washer covers? This is the place to do it.

I'd be happy to collect on your behalf as Newport is not that far away from here.

Thanks very much for the offer Colin, £200 is a fair wedge to find this time of year though thats the problem but i will see what the seller says first, that and its hard to make out what some of the tools are from the photo's, although a sphere tester is included and what looks like some hydraulics test gear.

Hi All

Guilty.
Will sort out with Dean and Robert once we see what is actually in the package.
Perhaps we should consider how a special tool sharing arrangement would work.
I think that probably the most interesting item in this lot is the "BEM MULLER" hydraulic break in measuring kit.
Made specifically for Citroen cars but It depends on how complete it is.

No problem,i have no specific requirement for a particular tool but was more concerned the lot went to one of our members and as such will gladly assisst on any future tooling that may come along.

Hi all

Congratulations for getting that.

I think I can see in the photos that there are 2 identical hydraulic pressure measurement kits, I recognise this because my indy has similar.

No need to say that if one goes spare, I want it!

Above all though, I'd like to discuss at some point of time what's the procedure for measuring a pressure regulator with 2 outlets -the type that fits cars using a flow distribution valve i.e. all XMs with simple (DIRASS) steering assistance before the event of the 2+5 hydraulic pump.

This is a detail I have never found documents for, and it's *so* critical when owning such an XM -even if you correctly refurb your FDV, if this is not right then u r digging a whole in the water.

Dean, I remember you started tooling up for measuring this, but not sure of the outcome of your efforts.

My indy's kit was from the age of the CX-GS and didn't include details of how to measure such a pressure regulator. Only had instructions for measuring a simple 1-outlet p.r. (like on DIRAVI XMs, BXs etc.

Let's hope this bit (looks more modern than my indy's) includes this additional bit of info in its manual.

Cheers
George
