ok who wants to go halfs on this little lot.................

Selling off one (or bits :o) of your XM collection, or perhaps searching for those elusive headlight washer covers? This is the place to do it.

Hi George

Big jump forward there I am afraid. Possibly a leap of faith.
First the assumption that there will still be a manual in the box.
Then that it will not be LHM soaked, drawn on with pages missing.
Finally that Citroen will have updated it with relevant information.

Will post after collection later in the week.

I think I can see in the photos that there are 2 identical hydraulic pressure measurement kits,
They look like diesel injector 'pop' testers to me - unlikely to be usable for sphere pressure testing without modification.

Hi George
Dean, I remember you started tooling up for measuring this, but not sure of the outcome of your efforts.
I have managed to get a pressure guage and all the fittings to connect to the FDV and was going to have my local hydraulics place make up a flexi hose with a male fitting to screw into it with the pressure guage fixed to the other end, then my house move disrupted play and all the bits are boxed up either in the attic, or my toy room or the garage that we still rent at the old flat due to my 'stock' of citroeny tools and spares

All this has been put on the backburner for now as talking to John at the weekend he recognises the two special Citroen hydraulic test kits, one of which i will be having subject to whatever arrangement we come to, after all John is paying up front and collecting the tools now but when he actualy gets his hands on them and we know for sure what they are decisions can be made as to what we will do with the collection.

Hi Ken

The "BEM Muller" hydraulic test kits are in small red metal boxes.
The citroen reference for these seems to be OUT 104 146 T : 4135 T pump adaption tool chest for checking circuits and LHM hydraulic components.
They are a collection of pressure gauges and pipe fittings to tee into the Citroen hydraulic system for test purposes.
There is also one standard Citroen Pop diesel injector tester but the other item with it though looking a bit similar seems to have a sphere connection point.
I have found a reference to it in the Citroen 1995 special tools manual - OUT 104 135 T - Sphere calibration pressure control pump.
Shown as a tool for BX/Xantia/XM.
Sadly the other tools complementary to that kit seem to be missing.
OUT 304 130 T : Repressurisation bay for accumulators and suspension spheres.
4131 T : Screw plugs for use with 4130 T bay.
OUT 104 158 T : Testing and control kit for on vehicle sphere and battery pressure rating.
OUT 204 129 T : Spanner for removal of hard to reach spheres.

Should know more when I pick up tomorrow afternoon.

Hi John, shame about the 4130t and 4158t they really would be useful. The procedure for their use is in the citroen service site. The 4146t consists of all the adapters and pressure gauges for the 4135t pump so hopefully that will be included.

Hi All

Just got back with the test kits.
Still in the back of the car as it is now too dark to do much with them tonight.
I would go through them on the kitchen table but the boxes are too dirty to get away with that.
Had a quick look as I collected them.
Look to be the usual variable content dealers kit.
The sphere tester is the real Citroen kit but cannot tell its condition yet.
Only one of the Bem Muller kits has a manual and if I were to ring it out like a dish cloth I recon I would get 5 litres of LHM out of it.
Will have to buy some sheets of blotting paper to retrieve that so I can then scan or photocopy it.
Might well photograph it first in case my efforts damage it further.
Will need to talk to Dean about the gearbox kits.
Could be more joy on FCF than here about the AUto one.

Studied the manual now.
So soaked in LHM that it is transparent so you can read both sides of the page at once in between the oilly fingerprints.
Looks well used and being in French does not help me. Seems to use a lot of those funny codes that Andrew so loves.
2 CV, DYANE, AMI 8, LN et GS 72, Visa super, CX , GS et H essence, to name but a few.
Robert it might be useful if you could post up a copy of the reference you mentioned.

Hi Robert,

I have been reading your comments about being able to view the procedure to use some of this equipment on Service Citroen.

I wonder do you have a higher acess or such like than I have. I wasn't aware you could do that. Does it also give work instructions?

I can view replacement parts info etc.
