This was my dads from new 'N' Reg' 95 / 96 and has been in storage inside for a number of years (dry and clean not a farm shed!) 65k miles.
Dark blue.
I'm looking to get it on the road, but would be open to offers over £750 as is. therwise I'll work on getting it on road myself and be looking at £1400-1500 then.
What it needs right now:
ABS light on....usually clears with a good run.
Windscreen trim above drivers side.
One rear electric window not moving when asked...no noise / dimming of lights so suspect connection or safety switch?
No AC, fan switch doesnt do anything.
Good buff / polish of paintwork...there is no rust upper body or structural.
Tidy / clean inside, but a valet would freshen it up.
Was always maintained on the dot, services / belts etc.

I would like it to go to a Citroen buff (as was my dad) and I'm sure with some TLC wil do another 25 years / 65k miles!!

Location Yarm, North East England, TS16

Thx Jon

Rear window likely seized in its channels; motor pulling current when switch is pressed. Try giving the glass a helping hand, and lubricate the felt channels with WD40.

No AC fan - check engine bay F2. Fuse may be intact, but fuse blades/fuseholder could be oxidised/dirty/burnt. Wriggle a new 30A fuse in and out a few times, plus a bit of contact cleaner.

ABS light intermittent:
Could be magnetic debris (ferrous dust) on any of the ABS toothed rings.
Could also be a fault with the ABS relay (usually a green cube relay, behind LH headlight; easy to spot as it has an additional small blade base contact in one corner. This relay controls the ABS light, amongst other things. Clean its contacts, external and internal (relay cover will spring off).
Check the relay first - less arduous.

I'd also sugest for rear window a switch. Centre console mounted switchs for rear windows must work for the rear windows to work even on the rear door mounted switches..

I have many centre console switchs spare.. I also saw a request for wheel trims. I've a good few of your type also..

The abs light. Does it go out when started up then come on after moving away..?

If so suspect dirt or grease in the abs teeth on a cog.. Useually a rear..

Window operation - also check that the switches are properly returning to their central 'off' position, and not getting stuck down. Armrest switches can catch on the armrest trim material. Can cause window motor to continually clonk on/off and pull current.

John on his other thread about non starting he resorted to stalling the car in gear to stop..
