Hi Guys.
I'm trying to sell or swap (for something smaller in similar condition) my Xantia. I know that this forum is designated for mighty XM, but maybe someone looking for something like this. I'll just paste a link from FCF.

You may also want to note being a Y reg diesel the road tax is slightly lower on it due to being the start the emission tax... If that matters to people. It would to be..

Hi.
I was looking for £700, but due to ongoing side air bag issue I can drop a price to £650. Unless You have a small car to swap with my Xantia ;)

Right, after a few ridiculous enquiries I've decide to keep my Xantia.
Too many thing been done to it. Car basically is to good to sell for such a silly price 8-)
I've sorted that side air bag issue now - one of cables under passenger the seat was bent in "cruel way". So now another problem is out of the way.
I'll will carry on doing things around Xantia. It should keep me busy while waiting for my XM. Yes, I've agreed with my mechanic that there is no point in looking for a donor car so we go ahead with restoration of my old one. You may expect some photos soon ;)
Meanwhile I would like to ask for help with door lock buttons. I remember that there was a special way of putting it back into place, but completly forgot how it should be done

It looks as if the latching pip is broken off from the inner slide clamp.
The XM mk2 version of these buttons can be bought from China.
The standard type with that internal slide is available in black colour or in tan colour.
They also make a non standard black version with a metal screw up clamp for fixing lock button to the drive rod.

No John, I don't think that it's broken. I have few spare ones, but still need to know how to put it back properly :)

I can see the central slide is broken, that is what always happens.
Got loads of those outers here also but I doubt I will ever use them.
A few years ago I bought a batch of the inner slide locks but it is difficult to get the correct length ones.
As a design the originals seldom survive more than two or three uses.
Since the Chinese new ones turned up at £10 for four I find it much easier to use those.

Do you have a link to hand for the Chinese ones? I would prefer a screw type.

I did find these, though:
