Dealer service tool kits & diagnostics

Selling off one (or bits :o) of your XM collection, or perhaps searching for those elusive headlight washer covers? This is the place to do it.

Dealer service tool kits & diagnostics

Post by aramsay » Sat Sep 05, 2020 4:05 pm

I have for sale some official dealer tool sets / cases if anyone is interested....

It's the ones in the large red briefcase-sized plastic cases.

9010-T.......XM front & rear hubs overhaul kit

9040-T.......XM & Jumper MG5T gearbox clutch overhaul kit

5711-T.......XM & Jumper DJ-DK engines overhaul kit

I also have a huge selection of Lexia / Actia diagnostic equipment / connectors / adapters / etc. Any interest ?

Is there any mileage in a group buy of the diagnostic equipment? This is the sort of thing that I pick up and squirrel away, but I doubt I'll ever make much use of it - I'd rather have a part share in it, know that it was available to me if I needed it, and could benefit everyone on the forum too...

It's a good idea regards the diagnostic stuff. A single buyer might use an adapter once, but some kind of club "library"
would be better for all. I got the diag stuff as part of a job-lot, so it doesn't owe me too much....

If it's any help, I'm down at Donington Park to watch the racing the w/e of 19/20th Sept. .... a bulk delivery would be possible between Ayrshire and there, within reason.

Any suggestions offers ?

I could list what I have.....there was too much for the post earlier.

Do you mean full working diagnostic equipment . . . an assortment of bits that could be put together to make full systems . . . or just all sorts of equipment/connectors/adaptors thrown in a box, some may work, some not?

I could be interested dependant on your answer.

Great idea to have it in the 'club' for everybody to use when needed. Happy to chip in if someone wants as it were to be the keeper of the things! Maybe we can do that with other stuff also!

If you have engine running issues and no codes are stored a diagnostic device won't help as it reads the same codes a Blink code reader does.

Detail your issues in a thread (not this one) and we might be able to help.

The blink codes are very accurate and the same data the Lexia displays.
The Lexia/Proxia is just a graphical interface for the Ecu's.

You will be able to see live data displayed, so can see sensor outputs instead of having to use a meter to measure them.

A wiring diagram and Dmm is as useful as a Lexia.
All sensors can be diagnosed using a Dmm, only the O2 sensor being a bit tricky due to refresh rate. You can still test this by manually triggering the Tps to give a rich mixture.

You can perform tests and actuations with a Blink code reader.

I would spend money on a scope before the Lexia.

Start a new thread, or find your existing one and update it.
