Paul Breeze Roberts - citroenxm - Sleep well my friend

A little after 07:35 this morning (11th April 2024) Paul Breeze Roberts lost his 4.5 year battle with cancer at the young age of 47.

He was a shining light in the Citroen community. Always smiling, always sharing advice, and always happy to assist others with his Aladdin’s cave of parts. Paul was easily spotted at CCC rallies by his feet hanging out from underneath whichever car he was working on in the field.

Paul leaves behind a wife (Sarah) and a 7 year old little boy (Carwyn). He will be deeply missed amongst his family, friends, and fellow car enthusiasts.

Sleep well my friend, we’ll all be together drinking a pint of LHM again in the future.

David.

I read this over on Facebook. Awful news. I certaily wouldn't have got my XM up and running without his endless help and support. Was lucky to get to meet him at the National a few years ago too. RIP

For so many of us, our cars passed through Paul's capable hands, and were invariably better for it. Paul was a man generous with his time and his knowledge, and i am privileged to have known him. My thoughts go out to his family. In this and other forums, i hope the legacy of his experience lives on.
Rest in peace, Paul

I heard this awful news on Thursday, having only discovered a few days ago, that Paul was ill again.

47 is no age at all, terrible. Can only imagine what Sarah and Carwyn are going through.

And of course a massive loss to this community, he helped so many people just out of love for these cars, often selling parts ridiculously cheaply for a fraction of their value or even just giving them purely out of kindness.

I would say practically everyone whos used this site or had an XM, will have had some interaction with Paul or have been helped by him at one time or another. Countless XMs would not be still on the road, were it not for his help and dedication.

A small part of him will live on here in the wealth of experience, knowledge and humour, he relayed in his many, many posts.

I feel privileged to have known and interacted with him for the guts of 20 years, a true gentlemen, sorely missed.

Thoughts with Sarah and Carwyn.

Ciarán

I am deeply saddened to hear this, and my condolences to his family.

Even though I have only joined recently and didn't have that much time to get to know him, from reading the older posts I can see he was a very important part of the community.

Cancer is such a horrible illness, it can take anyone, even seemingly in the prime of health, so quickly.

May he rest in peace.

I would like to add our condolences to the family of a very knowledgeable and practical man. My wife and I did visit him in Wales many years ago when he supplied me with some spares for our XMs. I had heard he had not been well for a long time but we are saddened to hear of his departure.

Having met Paul through this forum I found him to be one of the most helpful, kind and generous people I've had the pleasure of knowing. I'm sure he will always be remembered by the many friends he had throughout the XM and wider Citroen communities.

My thoughts are with Sarah, Carwyn and his family.

Paul was the spirit of this forum, his knowledge of XM and his help to members was endless. He was an example of the ultimate enthusiast, which we now need to follow. This is very sad that he is gone.
My deepest condolences to Paul's family.
