Like lightning just at the moment but was intermittently hanging earlier or last nigh, can't remember which. Not sure if this was before or after your tweak..

It has been fine for me in general, it was a bit slow this afternoon for a while.

I use Firefox/3.5.8 . I am used to 'hanging' - happens fairly regularly -, and learned to live with it. I have it with at least one other website as well. When it occurs I press the 'stop loading page button' and next press Submit again. That usually fixes it.
