Citroenian Request

Just wondered if anyone else had seen this request in the latest Citroenian for a new XM columnist and felt tempted!! I might possibly be persuaded, but there are many out there much more knowledgeable than me and the role could be quite demanding. Happy New Year to you all. Matthew T.

Hi Matthew

Why not make it a joint venture.
Between us we cover different aspects of XM's rather than overlap.

Many of us know about different areas better then others... I know a little bit for example, about removing engines etc, swapping auto box's and other bits, but know little about ABS system layouts and problems...and strut top information..

Others know about interior things etc.. we'd need ONE person to write it up, but others to contribute for the "Writer" to choose which to submit..

Ive been asked, but still feel I dont know enough globally to do it.. Time is short now for writing up too..

So a group may be best...??

...I believe that Robert has offered to take the position - and I think that he'd do a top job too! :D

I have offered, still waiting to hear back either way. I think we're all more than capable of doing it. Most of us have more than 1 car, and have owned a variety of them in the past as well.

I see the columnist as being a facilitator for people to write to about their own cars etc etc. So I'm not concerned about having writers block, I would be asking favours on here for suitable material to fill the column inches.

Hi Robert

Pleased that you have put your name forward.
Why wait for an answer.
Put a few sample columns together and submit them.
The magazine needs the copy.

Robert, I applaud you for putting yourself forwards, you have a natural talent with words so why not.

I can see stories and problems from this forum (and others) being given a wider audience. just call if you need information or help.

It was great to hear that Robert has volunteered for the task and will be excellent I am sure. The various messages of support were also most heartening and I hope to contribute myself. As stated by John, it should be a team effort really and Robert will no doubt welcome offerings of material, given the good connections and expertise available on the forum. I had thought that one regular feature might be a summary of recent threads on the two XM websites. Best regards, Matthew T.
