The Cobalt Xm lives

Post by Dieselman » Sun Jun 05, 2011 1:07 pm

For anyone that hasn't seen this on the other forum, my newly acquired Cobalt 2.1 now lives. It passed the MOT yesterday and has had the scrapped marker removed by DVLA and the V5 arrived also yesterday, it's now taxed, insured and tested for the first time in seven years.
I've driven it all day yesterday and today and it's great, just needs further fettling, but mechanically it feels unburstable.

Yes, though I'm still not quite sure what I'm doing with that one. it needs the cills welding and a brake caliper, but should be about MOTable then.

I need to have another good look at the body condition before making a decision.

If I had more space it would definitely be a parts car, but it's in the way where it is.

reducing it to parts makes it take up less room, in theory anyway.
would be nice to put it back on the road but there is a lot to be said for having your own stash of parts to keep the others running, makes maintaining the others a lot cheaper thats for sure.
