hi guys, im new to the forum and i have a XM 1991 2.1 Td. I have a question, how do i know if my XM is a SED? Or what is a XM SED? Mine has wood trims, sun roof, climatronic, leather seats but they aren´t heated.
Thank you.

That sounds like SED trim, leather and wood are the give-aways, along with black headilining and carpets.

Yes it has all that, the interior is all black too but the leather seats are not heated? don´t have the buttons. it´s possible to have the instalations on the seats and plug the buttons?

I don't think early XM had heated seats as an option, other than in very cold climates.

Early xm arent heated as standard i beleve it was an option as i had an sed on a H 1991 and it was heated..

Those are easilly fitted to any car the next give away is the lh display should be a dot matrix text read out display.. abs fitted and alloys too.. from the sound of it though with the digital heating unit it is an sed..

Hi Paul
Do tell more about adding seat heaters! Does it require swapping out the seats or can the heaters be retrofitted?
Cheers

Yes, there are heater kits available on the market. Slight disassembly of the seat is required.
