I too would be willing to contribute financially. Perhaps our founding fathers may have a cunning plan already? Kit[/quote]
Me too Ciaran,
I feel also that it's a bit much for one man! Can't you recruit more folks for the Admin team? Not me! I built PC's for years, still build my own but I could not do what you do.
Bob.

Re: Annnnddd... we're back...
Hi gents
I think the plan is if and when funding is needed those that are willing to could contribute what they can to cover Ciaran's costs (+ some more for all his time and great effort in my view), contributions would be sent as a gift to the good man to ovoid any tax problems and would also leave the forum available for all the other people who use it but have not registered thus keeping the content accesable to all, well this was how it stood last time the issue was raised anyhow.
Jim (citroJim of Frenchcarforum fame) was set as a Mod to help out but i think time is a big issue for him, running two forums already must be very time consuming as you will find him online with his forums at silly o'clock quite often sorting out niggles while everyone sleeps to minimise disturbance, i obviously cant speek for Ciaran i know he will be along soon (probably resting in a darkened room at the moment ) but i would imagine there is only so much that can be done remotely? most of the recent problems were, as i understand, of a physical nature and so down to the man who's house CXM lives in to sort out.
Of course the forum does have a number of moderators to help Ciaran with the day to day stuff but to be honest everyone here is very good with their language and post locations etc etc so we are not really necassary, which is good because you should see the daft questions we have to ask each other sometimes, more dads army than the fantastic 4
Ciaran....of course i too am prepaired to cough up for the cause, all you have to do is say!

Re: Annnnddd... we're back...
Thank god! And there i've been this week feeling chuffed with myself for achieving a couple of important DIY jobs on the XM, and no one to share it with!
Good work Ciaran, sounds like a few gremlins have been dealt with.
I too would be willing to make a donation towards keeping the forum alive.

Yes well done Ciaran for getting it up and running again - very much appreciated.
I would be very happy to contribute as this forum is invaluable in keeping our beloved XM's mobile.
cheers

Re: Annnnddd... we're back...
Well done Ciaran, thanks for that.
Just one thing to look at. Having not been on for some days I forgot my password and asked for an email to be sent automatically, which didn't happen, so I sent the Admin a message. I still didn't recieve any communication.
Fortunately..depending on your viewpoint ...I rembered my password..

Oh man you have been having fun .... If you want to hear me "verbally expressing myself" ... give me an XM to work on .... Or a computer that will not work as it should Suddenly patience can be in really short supply
