Evening folks,

It has been a while since I posted one of these, but here goes.

Friday next week, all being well I shall be picking up a 1995/1996 2.0 TCT Auto VSX Hatch with 120K miles for breaking.

The car has been off the road for approx 10 years. Apparently insurance was too expensive for the owner. I'm buying it for its strut tops mainly. I quickly looked around the car to inspect its general condition, and to see if there were any other goodies available. I will be able to give a full appraisal on Friday when I get a battery onto it to assess what all is working and what is not.

My plan is to break it next weekend and dispose of it the following Monday. If you need anything, or think you might need anything, please shout soon, as your window of opportunity is small!

I have no pictures as yet.

Buckingham Blue in colour (not 100% sure at this stage sample picutre of colour below). A very nice rare colour. I never have panel demand from my breakers, but since its a rare colour, I'll mention panel condition. Bonnet and near side wing are scrap. All other panels look Ok, and paint work looks Ok from a cursory glance.

Regards

Robert

I'm looking for a good spare wheel carrier. Mine has disintergrated and currently driving around with the spare in the boot.

Looks like a nice colour Robert, a little reminiscent of series one Olympic blue. Good luck with the breaking. Regards, Matthew T.

It is indeed a lovely colour Matthew,

Pity it has been off the road so long, and has some panel damage, otherwise it would be a nice colour to have the Xm in.

Hi Robert,

I could do with a few bits if you can spare them please?

She needs a front left window seal - the one on the outside of the door the sits against the glass. Front speaker grill. Hatch central locking solenoid and if possible the bits for the rear end of the centre console - the ashtray's broken and it look like there's a blanking panel missing on mine.

Please let me know what you can supply and how much and I'll arrange to get some money or funds to you.

Thanks.

Steve.
