E-bay is great until they pull your "breaking" ad!!! Then again, I can't complain I placed 6-7 in quick succession with no problems.

Virtually.
The only glass left is the bonded in stuff, the only soft material is the carpet, seats and boot floor insulation, the only plastic is the heater box and fuel tank.

It's easier to list what's left on rather than what's been taken off.

I'm actually pleased I stripped it this far as A: it yields lots of bits, and B: I learnt a lot about how it's put together and the best way to take one apart.
I've stripped the front subframe right down to recover the wishbones and anti-roll bar bushes and clamps and all hydraulic gear.

I am about to take a bare shell (and i do mean bare) to the scrap dealer here in France, Interresting to compare how much,or little i get

Brian

I got £130 per tonne today and weighed in at 650Kg, so got £84.

I suspect your bare shell isn't as bare as mine, no sunroof, any interior, movable windows, subframes, hydraulics gear including pipes, wiper motor, all and I mean ALL copper cable, one door cut off, tailgate and bonnet missing and the N/s wing.
I removed the plastic interior parts to see if I could get a better price but they only give £130 per tonne for cars and said the interior would have been fine.

Sorry, Guys no pictures, things got rather fraught and I completely ran out of time..I had to get the scrap yard to open up again for me as they had closed...
Had a right moment jacking it up high enough to get onto the trailer...it fell sideways off the jack and axle stands when nearly a metre off the floor due to the stands being on top of some steel trestles.

It's an Auto, which was part of the decision making process for scrapping it.

Anyone want the GOOD auto box?

I'll have your auto box if you don't want it I'll have it!

£130/tonne!! Last cars I scrapped were £165/tonne down a tenner a tonne. Are prices down that much?

They give £160 per tonne for general scrap steel, but only £130 per tonne for cars due to the contamination.
At least this way, if I weigh in any more stuff I should get the £160/T rate.
