Will have a look, Mike.

Last call for this one, folks. Will check this thread again in the morning but I'll see what's what tomorrow morning when I see the cars.

The only item I can think of that would be helpful to me Franklin is the console rear fascia panel with the ashtray, cigar lighter etc. as one my children has broken the opening flap off in a car! With regards, Matthew T.

Think I'll leave them Paul, as they're a right pain (as we all know!) to get out...! Apparently the two XMs have been stacked one on top of each other so windows might be damaged if the forklift prongs have gone through the windows as opposed to underneath...

Will have a look for your Matthew.

Well what a day - only been back home for about half an hour, and left just after nine this morning...!

Well worth going though as Geoff and I got some good parts and we filled both cars to the rafters... He's going back with his trailer on Monday for the rest...!

I'll send some PMs out later this evening as I managed to get some parts for some of you. Didn't manage to get everything unfortunately but tried...

Will also post pics too - in hindsight they shouldn't have been broken.

The Series 1 XM Prestige was 55,000 Miles and 1 owner apparently for most of it's life, all old tax discs bar two and lots of old MOTs!

The Series 2 XM TCT was an Estate car with 91,000 Miles and we found a receipt for recent brake overhaul etc for £300! Straight car indeed and no rust anywhere...

Shame but at least we got a good load of parts to keep some XMs going - Geoff's got three now (two V6s and a TD Estate) and luckily has two 60s Coaches that give excellent stroage for parts!

I thought of something today franklin.. the hatch boot light section.. where the badge and reversing lights are. Ive only got s2 ones and this sd 2.1 has a badly broken one on it.. did you manage that off the boot?

Well done .55k and one owner   :o what a shame.. why was it sent to rest?

I did look at that Paul and noticed that someone had taken a badge off, however the section was damaged so I didn't take it. Also saw that the boot spoiler had been removed. Infact, the whole tailgate was off it's hinges!

Such a shame, tax ran out in 2012 according to the last disc in the window. The boss of the site said he even drove it around the yard a few times and it ran really well. For some strange reason they thought it was an 1800 (!) but it was the same as my Prestige - a 2.0i 8v Auto. Geoff and I thought that it must have been some scrappage scheme system.

It would have been savable and we could have been tempted if it hadn't of had the other XM planted on the the roof causing some huge dents but atleast it's yielded some good parts.

Pictures to come...

Right, some pictures.

Here's the M Reg TCT Estate nearly as we left it, bonnetless, doorless and wingless. Was a shame to see this one being scrapped TBH, the sills were in great condition and from what we could see of the rear chassis it all looked sound too.

Here's the Prestige with some of the outside stripped off.

Both of them together - the Estate was on top of the Prestige and they brought it down for us which was good.

We could have kept going all day and night but had to draw a line somewhere for taking parts off!

Well done guys a sterling effort. That estate does look too good to have been scrapped. A shame.

Hope you got a good bounty!
