A fantastic result and write up, Gasa.
One would think that automotive manufacturers would have used PTFE cable sheath, rather than PVC, but profit trumps long term reliability.
Mercedes had terrible problems with PVC cable sheath break down due to heat, on petrol engine injector harnesses in the early 1990's.

Thanks Dieselman, they couldn't do such a simple thing with quality.
I should have replaced the wires much earlier and avoided the problems that were happening, I think this solved the engine shutdown.
