Thought I'd put up some pics of 'Georgj' Series 1 2.0si

As some of you may know, it's spent most of its life in dry storage, both when it was in use and in hibernation. Only done 50k miles.

I've linked a video, that hopefully works.

Platinium, although looks more grey to me, paint code ETB.

RP 4881

Seems to be more or less complete with everything working, a few little niggles here and there. 1 thumb button for door lock missing, and missing parcel shelf....which is all the more obvious when as has the inner boot screen fitted.

It did get some interested looks when I took her out (to be fair, mostly from blokes in their 50s....and a couple of "wtf is that" from youts)

The Magenta one was a 2.5td Break, I don't think it's on the road anymore, possibly scrapped. The blue one used to belong to a minor Top Gear presenter, Steve Berry, he sold it to me running on fumes in the middle of London....that was fun, stuck for hours in a red zone waiting for rescue!
I sold it last year and it's on the road again, living in Kent.

if you have the skills to deal with it, buying an Xm that has been in long term storage is definitely the best way, especially as it's a real time warp car, both in condition and design.
Have you told the previous owner you have finally put it on the road?
It's gone the long way round to be less than 20 miles from where it was rescued.

The previous owner is deceased, which is how I came by it.

I got it from his sister, who I kept in touch with for a while, she lives in California and came over to deal with his estate. I actually met up with her in San Jose to show her some pics, when I was driving up from LA to San Franscisco.
Unfortunately she only uses the old snail mail to communicate and I've kind of lost touch, otherwise I'd have been happy to send her some pics via email.
