Hi russ .. its that return rubber hose in your pics that's strapped on the back of the strut.. they are common for splitting..


its not out of your depth .. its low pressure and its simply a press hold by the metal band strap and it pushes onto the pipe at the other end!!same rubber hose as xantias so should still be available.. its a strut leak off return pipe...

In your pic close up of the top of the drop link there's buried a rubber hose that's the one i mean...

Hi Paul..thanks for the reply, it's what I think too. Well that's great to know it is 'easy' to fit. My only problem is I can't jack the ruddy car up!!

So..same as Xantia then. I shall go shopping!

Stupid jack won't take the wieght of the car. It is a suitable jack, but .....er cheap Chinese rubbish!!

Yes russ that will do... clean the old clamp band up before removal... then later i can tell you the way to reuse the plate that holds against the pipe...

It will be russ.. its dry further up and wet from there downwards.. ive one in with the same problem just not done the swap yet...

its an indication that there's a good leak past on the front strut...
