Re: CitroJim's ES9 V6 Exclusive
I believe that with the introduction of the 6+2 pump diravi was discontinued and to my knowledge there are no factory build ES9J4 Xm's. Unfortunately as this would be my preferred set-up

Diravi, "Direction à rappel asservi", was fitted to the early LHD V6 models only. I've had the pleasure of owning such a model which I bought new in 1995 and let go 9 years later.

Re: CitroJim's ES9 V6 Exclusive
I was under impression mk1 V6 LHD cars had Diravi too. Quite a few years ago on Ebay, there was a back LHD V6 in this country.... Not a 24V.... that had it.

Re: CitroJim's ES9 V6 Exclusive
All I can say is after driving a Diravi I'd very much like one...
I can see what the LHD ES9 V6 didn’t have it as the pump and steering are a direct lift from the Xantia V6 and therefore Citroen saved a bomb on development of a low-volume car by using the Xantia as-was and not developing Diravi for it

Careful Jim - I remember the last time you said you'd like a particular XM on a forum...CitroJim wrote:All I can say is after driving a Diravi I'd very much like one...

Yes Jan I believe all LHD S1 PRV V6 both 12 and 24v had Diravi, regardless of trim. Regards, Matthew T.

Re: CitroJim's ES9 V6 Exclusive
Apart from washing the Activa, which was very mossy green after being in hibernation for the winter, I did little to my own cars this weekend. I planned to do the rear ram on the Activa but I really wasn't up to it but did observe now the weather has perked up a bit the leak is now just an ever decreasing weep so the urgency has gone again...
Had visits from two Xantia owners this morning, apart from it being social visits, one to change his V6 gearbox oil and another to check his spheres on my tester... I did none of the work, just provided facilities and refreshments...
The V6 owner is in fact an XM Owner too, Mike (Xantia V6) who is the owner of the manual ES9 V6, the subject of a thread elsewhere on here. We ended up having a good natter about his acquisition and comparing his to mine and the differences between a French and UK market one. There appears to be many subtle differences like no deadlocking, no CD Changer and possibly no alarm amongst other things...
Later I went over to the Team WFA HQ to see how the RX-8 work is coming along. I sat on a ride-on mower there, took it for a spin and ended up mowing quite a sizeable lawn. Ride-on mowers are seriously good fun and I very much enjoyed it
And after driving one across grass for an hour or so it makes the XM feel so comfy...
The choice of car to go to WFA HQ was a straight contest between the XM and the Activa; the XM won on this occasion

Love it...sit on lawn mower. Excellent
. Fun weekend then Jim.
So all you need to do, is a get a blade cutting device and attach to the front of the XM and then you have the perfect lawn mower!
..... even better, use the Activa and you'll have excellent handling around the borders!
