People rave about those 1.9 turbo engines but seriously in comparison to the hdi in the dispatch or the 1.7 n/a engine in a bx, it's crap.

I got to the heady heights of 30.1mpg to work today - albeit it's hilly but you have the same amount of downhills as uphills and that was driving it carefully for mpg, not speed!
It's still gutless, slow off the mark and yeugh!

Yeugh! Is that how you officially write it...
I drove my former bosses brand new Sharon back in 1998, and I must say I only remember it was red. I mean, I don't remember how it drove. It just drove me around, that's it. Can't even remember if it was a diesel or not. I didn' t hate it though, so that's is actually a Sharon compliment. Try and find something positive about it!

it sounds like a Golf!
It is a beat up old wreck though, but nonetheless is a rubbish motor.
seats are about as comfy as the Dispatch ones.

Some old friends of my family had a Sharan company car when they were new..again must have been 1998. He asked his wife, what colour would you like the new car to be in. Her reply.... as a joke, pink dear......it was delivered in this dark dusky pink.... Yuk!
It did not go down well!
Oh well Campbell, you'll love the XM even more when you get it back.

I killed the Xm last night. It's got an aftermarket bulb on the fuel line which had part collapsed and the action of moving it to tell the garage to remove it has killed it and it is drawing in air so is a non starter. It'll be sorted tomorrow.

When I read the first three words I thought you'd done something really serious Campbell..
I was so relieved to read on to find you'd only killed a bit of rubber
