Jolly good...nice strong welds there! I have just today found corrosion on my drivers side sill... inside though.

I have just helped Darren to dismantled a car that had quite large holes behind the front wheels in the same location as yours Paul. The initial impression was not to bad, but it turned out the metal was rotten behind the underseal in quite large areas on both sides. I think all XMs will eventually deteriorate in these locations. With regards, Mathew T.

I was talking to Darren too about this area on Sunday. He mentioned they tend to go like that. I'm keeping an eye out on mine. They have been under sealed...but that can hide sins!
Today I had a good poke about. Cleared the scuttle and drain holes. Removed quite a bit of rubbish from the bottom of the wings where the water drains away. Them seem solid at the moment. But I really need to treat the rot I have found, however they are not flakey like Paul's......yet!!!

This is the FIRST one ive had like this.. Even the old H reg SED and the H reg 24v are Not like this here..
Its not a hard bit to do - try dooing all around rear subframe mounts! Even with the frame removed..

Half way down....
Got this to do again to smaller scale, the H reg SED is also like this too...

Pretty scary pics Paul. Shame the SED has played up in that area too. At least your well practised at fixing it.
