Better late than never!
I don't do X rally, its a long and expensive trip on boring roads to a 1 day event, two hours on the ferry round trip plus about 6hrs driving, I love all dearly, just not that much

The lexia told me the abs fault is open circuit to n/s/f wheel restrictor solenoid, no faults on the hydractive but it wasn't illuminating the sport light with ignition on either and after diagnostics the ECU failed altogether giving only trigger voltage to the hydractive valve, no holding voltage or dash light at all.
all the earth points were a bit loose on the n/s wing and cleaned all ECU plugs with a nail file and gave the plugs a little stretch and the hyperactive sprung back to life, light illuminates for a second with ignition on now, time will tell with the abs, it may be earth or safety relay issues.

Engine diagnostics were inconclusive, no faults found.
live data showed the intake temp sensor was a little ambitious but blowing it did reduce the temp to 15c, taking the sensor out and holding it over the hot engine gave 33c, unplugging the sensor strangely gives either a reading of +19 or -33 but looking at live data it doesn't seem to affect the engine which will start perfectly with no eml with the intake sensor unplugged , it does record a fault of sensor open circuit or short to +ve though.
I have found the fuel pump sounds a bit worn and groans when first triggered so we have prime suspect number 1 in the bag, filled the tank today too

Steering wheel is off centre between splines also so I shall give the track rod ends a turn each to bring that into line.

Sounds bad but I'm still pleased, not bad for the amount of bits its been in sitting outside untouched for 4 years!

I can understand that, it's quite a trek for me from East Sussex coast! In that case you had better put some more pictures up as we are not going to see it in real life.

I should get some good shots in this weather shouldn't I............ I will have a play at the weekend with the proper camera and upload them at work Monday, its a pain having only a tablet.
Sad news today, I left it in town while I went to do the banking, and its been scratched from front wing to rear quarter along the passenger side, really annoyed about this, it isn't keyed though, its not broken the laquer so hopefully after I wash it in a minute I can polish the worst of it out, really pissed off to be honest. :(

On a happy note there have been no abs or starting issues today, 100 trouble free miles today, great in the sun with the roof open, going to wash it, sort the massive scratch and wrap it up for the rest of the week.

Yeah, ain't going to do me any favours though. Miffed but I'm going to see if it will polish out without having to wet n dry. Wrap it up and save my mileage. Idiots they are, knew I shouldn't of left it in town.

The scratch is bad news dean. If it hasn't breached the lacquer add some more lacquer, sand an polish and it will be gone.

Wash, shamy and a quick drive to get the sitting water out, thank the car gods its just a scuff not a scratch, got it out onthe wing, just need an hour or so on it to get the rest off. Not lletting it out of my sight.
Just a 20% chance of rain during the day, 60% overnight but its not going out if the roads are damp, cos I'm sad.

Starting trouble again tonight when I took it out, looking back it suffered from this well before it came off the road, on a warm restart after 5 mins plus sitting it cranks a long time and when it fires it idles low and rough for a second or two then runs perfectly, eml flashes then goes off for 10 seconds then comes on until restarted, once it fires it will restart instantly and it wont do it all the time, I need to use some fuel and pull the fuel pump out as it doesn't feel like ignition to me. Very tricky to diagnose as its such a short term fault and doesn't always happen.

That is typical low fuel pressure. When hot the engine heat boils the fuel in the rail due to the low pressure.

Sometimes it's due to the non return valve failing.

Dean, on a happier note your door cards are now in my living room!

They look pretty good on first viewing. I will photograph them now and put the piccies on to Flikr. If you want me to hang onto them then shout, if not I will take them up to the X rally.
