Did the battery light come on while it was running, or as it died, or after it had it died?

I wasn't aware of it when running, I only looked at the display when it ceased running. Having just checked the warning lights as ignition is switched off, the battery light is the one displayed.

As to the ignition key being disengaged by accident - fiddling with my legs could not make it so, and it certainly wasn't my arm or hand. Anything's possible though.

A super sunny day trip up to CitroJim today, and he very kindly checked over the V6, including using the correct diagnostics. Hyrdractive is all fine apart from needing a new centre sphere, rear height regulator is a bit lazy and the front height is a centimetre or so too low. Engine all fine, operating temperature perfect, and gearbox all fine.

A new front sphere should sort the jiggly feeling.

It was indeed Jim. But for my M25 rush hour traffic paranoia I could have happily chatted for hours more!

Gosh that's impressive. My centre sphere was ordered from AEP at 4pm yesterday (from Glasgow) and got into my sweaty paws at 9.15 just now. Very good service!

How did you check the spheres, did you remove them, or just test in hard and soft mode?

Just tested in hard and soft Will and noted a small but significant difference in stiffness, enough to know the system was in good order bar a weak sphere. Also listened to the electrovalve giving healthy clicks at the beginning and end...

Corners are very recent.

Excellent service from AEP Charles!
