They just get better the more they're driven, especially the brakes. Nothing like a good work-out, and the A27 with its 8-9mph stretches and roundabouts is as good as anywhere. Whereabouts are you getting to work/visit, Dean?

I got the mandarin one out after six months slumber and the brakes were shockingly bad. After a drive into town they had firmed up quite a bit.
The Cobalt one has brakes that pull your face off.

We all talk about using them but its difficult to find a ballance between use and over use i find, the car is filthy now but to drive it just gets better and better, rattle on the o/s passenger door card asside i now find it better to drive than my nearly new L200.

Im down in Hove every friday this month for H&S courses plus a couple of other days for telehandler refresher training and transport manager meetings, the XM is a treat at 6 in the morning on an empty dual carrageway and is very welcoming come 5pm and the trip home, being stopped today was nice, to come out of an office having spent nearly 10 hrs being told about all the things the HSE and NWNF lawyers can bend you over for, to climb into the XM and instantly be engaged in nerdy car chat is brilliant and a welcome distraction.

Used to spend a lot of time in Brighton and Hove: haircuts, Classic car shows at the Metropole, printing industry customers...
If you have any time, take a squint at The British Engineerium (Hove), and, not far away, The Chalkpits Museum at Amberley - old chalk quarry, full of industrial archaeology: buses, old radio and tv (collect Peter, which will save on reading the guide), printing, blacksmith....
Don't make any quick assumptions about gender in Brighton, though...

I often drive right past the engineerium and I like the look of it, may make a weekend of it towards the end of the month and have a visit, going to Google now actually.

Currently closed! All the contents were put to auction and the site to be sold for development before being rescued at the 11th hour by a private investor, currently closed while works are being undertaken to restore many of the buildings. Hope its back soon.

MOT time today, normal service resumed and i have a pass no advisory notices, ready for its next trip abroad tomorrow.
