Ive a W reg 2.1 td ive just done the head and gasket... with a lovly 97k on the clock!!

Fit it dean.. when it's 30 deg outside.. opening windows and sunroofs just lets the heat in!! And xm are hot enough like a green house as it is..

I can supply you an R 12 system to go in. The r12 system in the 24v was a working one... and worked well too last time..

so we could sort something that way. Theres two aux belts.. one drives the water pump as its a big external unit that sits between the v banks and also the air con compressor.. and the other drives the altinator that sits under the front bank..

2 for A/C. I'm the same as Dean, window open in the summer, however, there is the odd day when the air con would be a welcome addition, especially on long motorway trips.

I think some of my insides are now poking out but i got the engine and box into the shed this evening after bringing it back last night, it want until 10pm i realised it wouldnt fit throughh the door of the shed with the headers on which was interesting but its done now.

Need to close that shed door and concentrate on finishing the bathroom now!!

Blimey dean.. that was quick work.. I forgot to rob that lovly top mount rubber off the engine.. apparently worth 60 quid.. lol..
