It's that hole in the back bumper...it's leaking the electricity out.

Yea, from when I had an LPG kit on here before. Might fit a sequential injection kit on her, I have a spare inlet manifold to drill the gas injectors, just need to find one..

But, otherwise, Ive got a decent bumper to go on, also a decent bonnet too!

Well, over the weekend my drivers door lock decided to stop responding to my Key Blade. This meant I had to wake the Plipper up, which actually worked, however one of the electrical sections on one of the front door locks doesn't quit work so if I use the plipper I could get in, but the drivers door lock needed the mechanical handle pulled inside to reset to UNLOCK properly. This was ok for the weekend - at least I could get into the car...

However, it wasnt for today!! I unlocked the car with the plipper, and then the locks started titting around locking - unlocking on its own. I went over to the car and pulled the drivers handle and left it alone. I then proceeded to place the key on the parcel shelf!

It then decided to rain, so I bunged a load of stuff in the boot and shut the boot!

Rain stopped out I came, went to open the boot.............. Nope.. locked... nothing... tried the doors . nope all locked! It had done one last click on the locks and had defaulted to LOCKED! I was trapped. Key in the car, car locked! NO idea where the spare is.

Faced with a choice.. break a window to get in or decide on replacing the drivers door lock for one that works! Luckilly I had found a Key and door lock that worked well indeed! So I filled it with oil, and rammed a load of grease in it.

So, as for the car, I decided I needed to get the door handle out the way, and unfortunally had to sacrifice it, and pulled it out and cut it off at the lock end, and got it out the way..

Leaving me with this..

The section of handle inside that was left needed to be removed from the orface next to the lock. that took some jiggery pokeery, but I managed to break it away. Once the handle was out the way I could see the slider on the door lock that unlocks the car!

Job done, opened the door, removed the lock and replaced it all.. (I forgot to get a finished photo).. but that concludes todays tribulations!

-Not your best day it seems but the solution I find ingenious enough to remember that you can actually gain access to that lever via this small hole in the door.
Wonder how your harness problem will be solved :)

The harness problem is the easy one Captain! I have a spare harness off another engine, that, with a good close inspection I shall check over and will fit to the car! ;)

Could you not have pulled the top of the door out and operated the interior handle?

No, my door tops are sitting NICE and square, and I didnt want to spoil the trim along the B pillar, they never go back. I did look down there, but though.. no its too neat n tidy. Door lock had stopped working so I decided, it can go for another...

Make sure that swap will be more straight forward than the last one! After all it's a citroen so it's bound to be different :) I admire you getting the car going again with a starter cable to that relay...

its as stronger more stable feed to the fuel pump relay and engine managment power...

Since dooing that and messing with the harness in two places she has been running perfectly... So I know what Im looking at now.
