Had similar here. Some E27 (golfball) LEDs from a local electrical wholesaler lasted only a few weeks in our kitchen, but the replacements these, and lots of MR16 7W from Leroy Merlin have been superb - nice colour and long life.

The Leroy Merlin lamps (12v MR16 bi-pin) are identical in size to their halogen equivalents.

I only found these: https://leroymerlin.co.za/led-5w-mr16-g ... v-81423097 and they look like much deeper. The originals are 20W each, halogen.

Yes, and additionally, they are of different design and that's important here:

So, you have to try Spain, I thought South Africa was better. :-)

We can also have 4000 K: https://www.leroymerlin.es/fp/82431427/ ... 00k-lexman

I wonder. 4000 might be too cold? But 2700 sounds a bit to yellowish.

QQ about AirCon...

Am renewing the drier and its pressure switch on the BX (same plumbing system as XM, essentially).

Am I right in thinking that the schraeder valve in the drier is there simply to allow removal of the pressure switch, without undue loss of gas,
and that the pressure switch's small spigot should press on (open) the schraeder when full screwed home?

I ask, because the new (Valeo) drier has a schraeder that is too far recessed to be pressed by the spigot. The old (OE) drier has a taller valve.
