After reading that thread I’ve decided to just live with the blower direction control being the way it is haha

There is a spring clip holds the cable sheath on the control unit: I suspect the clip has come off, or is missing.

Hydractive 1 stated "Automatic", or "sport" mode in the left display, Hydractive 2 shows "Normal", or "Sport".

Once the spheres are fitted bounce test both ends to ensure both hydractive blocks are working...then enjoy the driving experience.

words cannot express just how good these cars are, i absolutely love them and i admit it took me a while to do that

suspension is much, much better in "sport" mode, looking forward to the new spheres

Drove it a few hundred miles down to manchester today to visit the ever excellent Westroen

7 replacement spheres fitted

my god, i cannot believe how much better she drives

sure the ride is a bit firmer but i don't care, no nose diving, no body roll and no bouncing

i am most pleased

Is that brim to brim calculations? It seems high for a 2.1-auto.

Never seen that....

A 2ltr HDI in a C5 Mk1 (pre DPF) "just" made that on a careful long drive to Boston (so very flat).....55mpg in a 2.1td is remarkable

Forget using website calculators, just a bit of good, old fashioned, maths.
Distance / Fuel usage in litres x 4.55 to convert to gallons.

e.g. 350 miles
40 litres used

350 / 40 = 8.75 miles per litre.
8.75 x 4.55 = 39.8 mpg.
