garage have got started on it apparently, and yes, that is true, i drove past today and it was inside

should be back home next week all being well, and i honestly can't wait to drive it and put some miles on the old girl

£1,260 later it's road worthy

i was given my sills in a plastic bag

i also note the auto gear selector is quite stiff to move, wonder if that's due to lack of use?

Nice to see it back on the road, the seats look almost new

Is it the cruise control the thing stinking out by the side of the steering column?

Not so nice cost... :?

The auto selector is probably the cable needs lubricating.
You might be able to unhook it from the gearbox and run oil into the cable while holding it up.
I can't remember if the linkage in the transmission tunnel is exposed, if so grease it.

It is.
Your car has the rotary lights switch mounted there.
Cruise control was meant to be the four buttons on the steering wheel, but they were then used for radio control instead, so in the '92 update the left stalk gained the lights switch and cruise was available utilising that socket.

IMHO, the rotary lights switch is aesthetically preferable.
