After digging it out, I stupidly thought I'd try and go somewhere, only for the damn thing to get stuck, unable to push down onto the street, or get back up for that matter...

Though it fared a lot better than the rear wheel drive BMW 1 series, which had to be abandoned lying up the street, and couldn't be moved for days.

When was that Ciaran?

It never snowed as bad as that down with me.

January 2009.

The snow we had last month was just as bad, but I don't have any pics of it

Are they fatter, lower profile tyres than standard Ciaran? The reason I ask is that I'm running 205/60 15's, and my car laughed at far deeper snow than that, and proved almost as good as my trusty Dyane was in the white stuff (and with the benefit of a fabulous heater too!)

They're 205/55/15s, so not vastly different.

They give really excellent grip (except in snow )
