Agreed, good work and write up. For when it finally becomes necessary, you can buy those motors online, I believe they are the same as central locking motors.

Your friends Ds must be one of the last with thin steering wheel and push button outer door handles.

I don't know what the problem is with the thermometer, I bought a new sensor, measured the connections between the sensor and the connector on the door, everything is fine, the contacts are good, I don't know what's wrong with it.

at the moment the engine was turned on, the temperature was exactly +21 degrees, after a few minutes it started to reduce the temperature and in the end only lines appeared.

--- indicates no connection, so it's possible there is a poor contact between the display and temperature sensor, alternatively one, or other is duff.

Try plugging a temperature sensor directly into the display.
