Additionally, I know the whereabouts of a dismantled/yet to be reassembled silver K plated 24v

Engine never went back in when it needed a clutch change - flywheel issues!

Hi Paul.

My pal simply lost interest in it and the whole front end is spread all around his workshop.

Mint and modest miles too. He's distracted himself making up a Cx/Xm hybrid steering rack
with 2.5ratio DIRAVI. Then he got married, finished building his house from scratch etc etc...
He says it's his retirement project and I've ended up losing my only flywheel I had. Hoped it'd
restart his enthusiasm to complete but he's into his v6 Xantia a d 4.6 HSE LPG Range Rover now!

I'll see if I can persuade him to sell me it!

You're kidding right!? Because we've each got one or two!? Yes the odd auto and estates gave popped an
appearance over the last year but when did you even see a decent standard SEi 2.0 let alone the rarer 3.0.

The figures for these models new were under 10% of all sales and even if that ratio is somehow the same today
if 1400 made it through an MOT that suggests tops there's 100 working examples!? I'd suggest it'd be halfor even
lessthan that. And try and find a s1 manual of any year. You can't!

You still see a 12v more often then a 24v..

I know of a 12v SEi manual, in olympic blue, and the fella fitted a new clutch in situ aswell...

Yes being olympic, its a G 1989 too as I think that was the only year olympic was available on the XM

Aha, we are both thinking of a fella who has a fair few XM's I believe who does have a 24v too.

He saved Dave (Aengus IIRC) from London when it's replacement clutch failed. I was about to
collect it myself when my tow car snapped two of it's wheels off...

So it's for sale now?

Just me reading too much into your comment! I missed out there as I'd seen the car when I met Dave a while
back and I adore the colour and as set to run over to London as it looked like the car would be scrapped.

I really can't believe ANY s1 V6 is going to be easy to find, let alone buy.
