sei turbo

Post by MTXM » Sat Jan 30, 2010 7:31 pm

Just cleaned the car and thought I would post a shot. In my humble opinion the very late series one 2.0sei Turbo auto/Prestige is the ultimate XM - series one V6 24v trim and all the gadgets, including cruise control and electric arm rest as standard, plus the optional heated seats if you lucky!! The petrol turbo is sooo smooth, fairly lively to drive, meshes in well with the auto box, and gives reasonable economy, despite all the rumours. Bet that starts some debate!!! Regards, Matthew T.

Very nice looking car.

And nice to hear someone speaking up for the 2.0 turbo auto for a change :D .

Although, I can't honestly say that I find mine 'sooo smooth', it is a bit smoother (and quieter).....(and more entertaining) than the 2.1 td.......(a tad thirstier though).

Many thanks Robert and Paul. Other attractions of the late series one I did not mention are the improved electrics and hydractive II suspension. The 2.0l turbo engine is also very dependable and robust and was also fitted to series 2 models. I started with a 1995 VSX and then bought progressively older cars, initially settling on the higher spec. 1993/4 petrol turbo models. The original interior and exterior features lost with the 1994/5 restyle was a great shame I think. With regards, Matthew T.

Very nice. I don't see a black one? ;)

about the screen and only see them close up..

Perfect to add onto the pictures thread here:

And don't forget the picture of the gold one parked in front of the stately home.
One of the best XM pics I've seen.

For those of you who like cleaning cars, I will give a free weekends B&B to anyone who can make mine look like that.

Fine cars Matthew,

I was trying to pick my favourite colour there, I think it has to be the Gold one. Although they all look fantastic.
