Off to France again. This time a little closer to home, so theoretically I should be OK with fuel (84 litres crammed into the tank and a 20L and 5L can in the boot) for the week, what with the current problems out there! That gives me a realistic range of about 700 miles - so long as I don't rag it.

Well, the car performed as expected; and we had no issues except the o/s rear window went 'ping!' on the way back so, until I can fix what I believe is a fairly common problem (help!) - it's taped closed with black duct tape . Fuel consumption wasn't bad either at around the 32 mark overall - even though we did a fair amount of rural road driving... in fact some was like a rally stage after the rain and the farmers had been along them laying a carpet of muddy field along the crumbling tarmac! The XM fared surprisingly well on these twisting challenges...

Needs a clean now. This is the way the car looked on Sunday. Imagine what it looks like now

OK I'm mad, but we need a seven seater for the summer, and what with keeping the BX on the road and a new project for the Citroen Classic Challenge, something had to give.

I know its mad, but I can't afford to keep it if - as I must - I end up getting two more vehicles... I don't know what I'll get for it, but here's hoping...

Somehow don't think it'll be too long before I get another XM. Circumstances need to change a bit first though.

100 watchers and it's reached the reserve of £720. Let's see if it might go higher.... after all even if it costs twice that to keep on the road for a couple of years it's a hell of a lot of car for the money
