Hi Dean,
I just recently acquired a collection of spare V6 12v ecu via a ebay trader in Germany who was very helpful and efficient and the average price was about £30 each inc. postage. I also have one locked ecu and a local specialist quoted around £80 to replace/re-programme the chip, so unfortunately not really cost effective by comparison.
Please do let me know if you require details for the trader who had several other ecu in stock.
With regards,
Matthew T.

I also meant to mention that for the earlier ecu green label appears to be manual and yellow is auto. With regards, Matthew T.

To be fair i need to try the yellow BVA ecu i have yet as it has 'No Code' written on it in German, which could mean it does not require a code as it has been disabled already or it could mean they didn't know the code for it and it's junk but i have seen those ECU's for sale, a few a pretty cheap.

On another note, the engine transplant process is now complete as the paperwork has finally come through :D

Finally got round to fitting the yellow label BVA ECU tonight and the driveability is now perfect, turns out the ECU has had the IMO function removed.
I had to fit a new TPS as i had to drill the mounting holes out to 8mm on the one fitted to the car to be able to clock it to achieve some modicum of driveability with the white label 94 ECU, with a non butchered TPS and the Yellow label ECU it is now PERFECT, at last!

Moral of the story, V6 engines will run on the wrong ECU, but not well.

Now the Hydractive electrics are testing me.............

I adviced you long time ago to try a different ecu Dean, but you had a hard time finding a proper one.Finally...you found it.

What problem you have now?
I know that...before i replaced faulty ecu on my 2.0i i never had "automatic suspension" on start up or "sport suspension" message on left display, just orange suspension light on instrument cluster.
After replacement... all suspension messages re-appeared as they should.Strange...but...that indicates that ecu and hydractive ecu are communicating between themselves.
Could it be that your "new" ecu doesn't communicate well with hydractive ecu?

Misha, this problem reared its head yesterday morning when the 94 ecu was still fitted, the problem remained after fitting the earlier ECU too, i suspect a ground issue as many years ago (8) the car used to do this when it rained sometimes first thing in the morning, i never found the problem and it seamed to dissapear on it's own in the end only to return with a vengence now.

I see...i thought that problem appeared after you fitted "new" ecu.

Unfortunately, the fuel pressure is spot on at 42psi and the pressure regulator is working fine taking the pressure up to 52 psi with no vac applied.
Was worth a try.

Can those who have a V6 tell me the part number of the TPS they are running please, only need the last 3 digits.
