Will, I am so sorry to see this. I was so impressed by this car when you let me have a little spin in it.

A dreadful bit of luck. Ours was front right corner thumped by a delivery van in similar fashion some years ago. £3500 of repairs via insurance company. Hope things get sorted without too much hassle.

It's been assessed this morning. Cat-B.

Ahhh. Mine was Cat B. Technically they have to take it away, but parts can be taken off it.

What a shame.

I am sure that Will shall wish to retain and repair and in reality anything can be fixed given sufficient determination and an acceptance from the Insurer!! On reflection I would be inclined to challenge the assessment, since from the photos posted the main sill does not look damaged and only the corner against the rear wheel, plus the rear door and wing. With regards, Matthew T.

When we finally got the rear door open, the sorry sight behind told the whole story. B Pillar, C pillar, roof pillar, sill, N/S/R floor under the seat.

Significant chassis distortion..........., the kind of impact that flicks 1400kg of car 180 degrees would be substantial. the chassis would of rippled like the waves on a lake during this kind of impact.
Cat B can never go back on the road although it may physically be repairable if you could find the parts.

Such an awful situation for such a lovely car.
