About three weeks ago I decided to have my Xantia Activa detailed by a local guy who has a fantastic reputation. I booked the XM in at the same time on the proviso the results on the Activa were satisfactory.
Here's what the Activa looked like after I'd washed it a few weeks ago...
To look at it was a really tidy car but the paint was a little rough and it had swirl marks on it.
Here's a during picture showing the bottom half polished and the top half as it was whilst the guy was at work:
Anyway, here's a few pictures of what the Activa looked like when I got it back...
Here's a reflection shot from the Activa's back drivers door:
The next morning it was raining and it was all sitting in nice little droplets on the car:
After the amazing results on the Activa I decided the XM was going to have a go too.
I dropped it off at 8am this morning and got a lift in to collect it at 5.30pm this evening.
This is how it was sitting when I walked into his yard this evening:
I've no interior shots yet but he's cleaned everything, conditioned the leather, the lot. It looks and smells amazing inside it
It's now back in the workshop with it's cover over it to keep the dust from setting on it.
Am well pleased with the results on the two cars.
They've got something called a nano wrap on them now which apparently stops contaminants bonding to the paint. There was a bird that crapped on my Activa and after sitting for 24 hours it washed off with the pressure from the hose with my thumb over it. No scrubbing or touching the car was necessary
