Hi David

The V6 looks superb.
There is a post in electrical giving Battery Drain Current Values current values.
It list the values for a late V6 as the example.
Could help in checking if there is anything putting a high load on the battery.

Hi John,

Thanks for that. I'll check it over just to be safe.

The owner I got it from did tell me that it was an old battery and would probably need replacing so I don't think there's anything wrong with the car. The battery is old and is still holding a charge after 2 months in the container so I don't see it being a problem.

Its good to see that the car has landed safely.

Good luck with the rest of the re-registration process.

Hi David,

Congrats over the purchase of the car. I've seen the car myself in Harry's home in Malacca.
Looked as it just come out of a Citroen Showroom.

Total shipping costs have worked out to be around £2750.
Forgive me for saying so, but that is an amount not many, even on this forum, would be willing to pay for an XM readily available. Never mind transportation.
Personally however I am pleased to see someone is appreciating the real value of this beautiful specimen and I hope this serves as an example and will stop the snickering when shown similar XMs for sale here in Japan. As I have done in the past. (links to vehicles for sale, not the snickering  )

Well I spent today getting my S2 XM ready for the trip to Wetherby today...

Washed the car and then dried it, polished the bodywork, each wheel individually and then every pane of glass inside and out.

Now so that it doesn't get dusty in the shed before Sunday it's got the cover that I bought from Citroenmad over it. :D

Just got to hope that it doesn't rain between Glasgow and Wetherby on Saturday morning now!

Lovely workshop and cars David.
Of course you know its bound to rain, got mine out beforee last years cxm rally, washed and polished it, tucked it into its car cover, came out at 5am the sunday morning and unwrapped it, drove to the fery terminal and as i waited to board the boat it absolutly sheeted it down, rained all the way up to winchester and was fine from there, of course clear blue sky's at the cxm and there had been no rain at all  , always the way

Nope...

The paintwork on the car is 100% original. Nothings been painted on it.

Dean... It's soul destroying when it does that!

I tried to talk my dad into letting me borrow the P38 and trailer to bring it down with the cover on it so that it didn't get dirty but I got clouted round the head and told to grow up
