Well, time flies when you've having fun!! It's 9 years in 3 days time since I collected my XM from the port in Grangemouth. I can't quite believe it's been so long already.

MOT time tomorrow morning anyway :) Fingers crossed!

David.

I remember buying my Mandarin one...Feb 2010.

Good luck with the MOT. As long as you have checked it over, it should go through no problems.

Remember test-driving and buying ours (from S.E.Thomas in Godalming) in January 1999, with just 1000 miles on the clock.
It had been registered to S.E.T. just four weeks earlier, but their intending customer had decided not to proceed. Our good fortune.
The salesman had initially apologised about the unseen car (it was with Freeborn in Southampton) when we first showed interest. "I'm afraid it's white. Will that be a problem for you?"

We got a pass :D

Not even an advisory... my exhaust repair must have held up well enough. :)

Well done David that is good news and my 1989 V6 12v also passed yesterday, albeit with some minor advisories!! I look forward to seeing you with the car at Coventry. With regards, Matthew T.

Pictures :) Everybody love pictures!

Here's some shots of the XM and the C5 (before it was collected by it's new owner) after a cleaning marathon on Sunday...

On the way to PD Gough this morning she ticked over onto a new milestone...

Here's some pictures of the exhaust that PD Gough did today. The had the car on the ramp for 7am and I drove away at 14:32.

The quality of the workmanship is superb, I found them to be very helpful and easy to deal with whilst there and I'm very happy with the overall fit and finish too. I'd use them again in a heartbeat and have already spoken to them about the exhaust for my V6 Xantia Activa.

Since 1am this morning when I left Glasgow she's covered 350 miles without batting an eyelid at it. She's done more in 1 day today then she did in the last 3 years!

David.

We've had a great weekend. The exhaust is behaving perfectly. It's very quiet and gives a nice burble when giving it some beans.

The XM got a lot of attention at the Citroen Centenary Event in Coombe Abbey. I even got one guy offering me £3k for it there and then!

Last night I left Coventry at 5pm, and at 21:30 I was parked at home having munched 328 miles effortlessly and only using half a tank of petrol.

Between the MOT in 2015 and last week the XM had covered 264 miles. Since Wednesday last week she has covered 780 miles effortlessly and without missing a beat. I've really fallen for my XM again this week. It's reminded me of what a special car the XM is.

David.
