Also I note it has Michelin's at least on the front so hopefully this one will stay more glued to the tarmac when the bad weather comes along !
She has Michelins all round thankfully. But they'll be coming off, and my winter Michelin tyres on the same style of rim will be going on when it is MOTd.

We'll see what happens to the white. The front bumper could do with a paint, the rubbing strips are a bit messy where someone has touched it up with white paint (which has discoloured) and was applied with a paint brush.

I'd leave it colour coded If I was you Robert - looks better than with the black on the bumpers.

That's a really tidy looking XM that.

I can't wait to pick my new one up next weekend, it's months since I drove an XM on the road and years since I did long distance in one so I'll really enjoy this long trip home!

I'm also amazed at how you keep turning up all these XM...though having storage space really helps.
Ditto, I totally agree, it looks great all white, don't change it! :)

Is it just me or does it have a manual knob for the seat back adjustment, yet the electric buttons for the back and forward base movement?? :?

The big round thing on the seat back is for lumbar adjustment. Turn it and the back of the chair tightens and the back sides get pulled forward holding you tighter.
I didn't think much of it so you are not missing anything!

Hi Steve,

I only ever noticed the side bolsters moving in and out, I never noticed the lumbar support. Thats the only thing I can ciriticise the Xm seats for, is less than ideal lumbar support. But yeah, you're not missing out on anything.

I have to disagree on this one -talking of leather seats. My V6 doesn't have this bolster adjustment and, the seat being too wide for me, I have to hold myself in all other ways when cornering. The green 2.1 has it and, on "fully closed", I'm held totally in place -very well designed, really, like it'd be in a sports car.

cheers
