It's finally happened (or very nearly so...)

The place to show off and tell us all about your XMs (or even other cars). Should it be a big project, or just some general pics, start your thread in here.

We may have a solution:

All here in the parallel FCF Thread...

EDIT: Just put the URL in for the thread. Forgot it first time around

Here's one for you Jim.

Not ideal, but not too far away.

These people would be good to hire from as they are heavier lorries and there is a depot near you. They rent a lot of vans and lorries out.

Well, the plan to hire a truck and go all the way to Scotland was a non-starter with the hire plus the fuel and so on...

So, we have a new plan. Can't call it Plan B as that one hit the rocks weeks ago. More like Plan R...

Anyhow, not going to say any more until all is signed, sealed and delivered... All I will say is thanks for the second link Will, they may well be the glue that hold this particular iteration of the Great XM Recovery Adventure together :D :D

Watch this space ;)

I'm guessing that someone has a car going to Scotland...

No, not quite Will, after both David and I have been mucked around by the shyster-likes on Shipley and so on, we've taken matters into our own hands as it were.

David is collecting a vehicle using his RR and trailer from Yorkshire and I've hired a self-drive car transporter and will be meeting David at a services on the A1M to collect the XM and bring it home. The cost of locally hiring the transporter for the day was most reasonable and comparable with the best Shiply quotes..

Plus it'll be fun and an adventure :D

It's all set to happen on Wednesday...
