Gosh that is bad news Paul, although I am sure you will find a way forward and fix it eventually. Any S1 PRV V6 XM is such a rare sight these days at CCC rallies so she really must be saved and it sometimes feels like you and I are the only ones who care! I am sure you will keep us posted. Im starting to think a full strip down and see what all the bare bones are like..

As for reshell what gaurenties do you have for finding a good enough s1 body.. Any decent body would be in the hands of preservation or owners like you and me. S2 late shells are no better either..

I saw your pics last night Paul, my initial thought was its getting a bit out of control and as Will has suggested maybe time to reshell, but I didn't want to really say it. I agree with Matthew, you have to try and save it due to its rarity, but if it were any other model, I think it's a parts car by now.

Best of luck with it, and maybe a full strip down is just what it needs. Maybe it's trying to tell you that!

Despite being on a K plate Russ its a 1989/90 shell and is very dire.. Otherwise it would of been done by now..

What happens on a re shell and even more so a body colour change.. Id do it to black if i had a chance..
