After finally finishing the last long term project i actually had time to fettle ever ever so slightly on my 24v yesterday. .

Shes been out for fuel for some time. But i managed to find some in the 24v shell car.. was worth a shot .. but only managed half a gallon..

However this was enough to actually hear her run.. and to my amazement after she has sat untouched for so long the starter worked first time and she fired up too! Though not very well .. lol

Anyway.. my main objective was to see if the lpg worked.. and .. it didnt.. however i do need to get the laptop onto it and set the lpg ecu up etc .. so i need to get a lead for it now..

But that all.. welding is needed again but mainly in outer cills and that dodgy area in the wheel arch up against the fire wall...

I'm sure you will sort it out Paul, that area of rust against the bulkhead will be a bit troublesome, to say the least, but you will get there.

She really needs to be used so chop chop

I'd concentrate on getting the body sorted, otherwise it will turn into a pile of ferric dust pretty quickly.

My Mandarin car is now outside under a car cover (no windows), the V6-24v has gone into the garage. Now it's under a cover you can clearly see the mandarin car is bananna shaped. Bits are now being stripped off it. Ultimately I will cut all the rust prone areas out of the body to give good panels for other cars...not the rear end of hte N/s sill though.

Well it's been a while.. Too long in fact.. However... I put some fuel in my 24v last Friday and hoped for the best... But turned out to be bad...

Firstly I have a swimming pool in the rear passenger foot well so that will need urgent attention and find the source of entry.. When I turned the key.. She turned over lovely but the fuel pump is dead.. Weigher it has decided to sieze from being in an empty tank or lack of use I don't know so I'll swap that over for another I have...

Need to get the bx welded motd and gone... And get the C5 engine n box out and she'll. Gone... Then I think its interior gut.. Get it all out and go from there.

After a bit more fettling.. And a fail to fine a spare pump in the stash I decided to remove the fuel pump.. Apply 12v directly to it and after a couple of dead short strikes on the battery terminal the pump freed up and worked again.. So back in and after a few spins she coughed into life.. Slight misfire when cold but got better once warmed...

Nice to hear her going again..

Wow, it was 2016 when I found the Arch Hole, and outrigger hole... STILL not done.. but theres been a few things in the way, namely a 2yr old.. and then a house move. We are looking to buy, and one criteria is to have a garage.

She still starts n runs, and sounds good, except the idle control valve.

So it's now Nov 2019. Lots been going on but not with the car sadly.. We bought a house with parking space but I've not got to leave the farm. And be gone by end of Feb. Anyway.. Bx went without mot.. C5 auto stripped and went.. So all that left at the farm car wise is my 24v Xm and a 2.1td auto.. And a 24v shell that needs stripping out.
I now need to go find alternative storage and get two sheds emptied. Xantia stuff has been selling slowly but not quickly enough. The last xantia hdi that was hidden away has also gone too.

Over the summer I also had a Xm 2.1td auto needing a gearbox swap.. Which we have done.. See else where. So after emptying the sheds the next task is to get my Xm to my house.. We could start dooing things then I think...

Congratulations on your new house Paul. Bit OT but any chance you're moving more towards North of country or still staying around Anglesey ?
