Weekend trip from Darlington to Horley in Surrey and back completed in the XM. 650+ miles done in style and comfort with lots of lovely power when required to avoid getting 4 interlocked circles as rear bumper modifications
As far as spotting goes it was a dead loss: the only slightly interesting Citroen seen was a 2cv Bamboo in East Grinstead - looked like it had just come out of the showroom.
Day after tomorrow I am going to do another trip to visit Mum in Stroud and then to the X Rally (I hope) on the way home (actually one hell of a detour). I am thinking I might try the ZX this time just to make a comparison - and 1200 miles is a lot to put on a car in a week. I shall see how I feel on Thursday when I set off.
If any of you kind folks can point me in the direction of a driver's door window regulator I would be grateful, mine has decided not to play any more. I haven't investigated beyond the switch as yet, but I expect the whole thing will need to be replaced.
On another note, Mark who bought my last V6 XM from me for a song because I was frightened of the expense I expected it to put me to has been trying to sell it in the Citroenian for several months. He has now reduced the price to a point where it is very attractive - particularly because of the light leather interior.
The Ebay advert is here:

It deserves to go to an enthusiast, I reckon.
