Well, nothing much to report. Elizabeth's XM car towed a full trailer all the way through the UK to the Netherlands. After temporarily ditching the trailer, it started doing 'taxi services' and school runs only for a while in freezing conditions.
It is true, it uses a significant lot more petrol than normally back home under these circumstances and so far we didn't encounter a single other XM

Tomorrow we'll try and find the trailer back and will end up in the LIMOUSIN unless something happens...but why would it. XM's are pretty decent good cars It's only around 800 km. I think...

I love long trips in the XM, I've driven up and down the UK (well off the boat at Stranraer to Northhampton and Kent with various diversions in between, and from Wales to Manchester to Scotland) a fair few times, but a trip to the Netherlands is hard to beat!

pff Netherlands wasn't that much fun, France was much much better.
On the ferry from Cherbourg to Rosslare right now, being bored already...only 17 more hours:)
Nothing to report on Liz's XM either, never missed a beat the last 2500 miles or so. Hope she'll get me home tomorrow

I can now say, we both have a bit of a preference for the Diesel....petrol is more expensive and she uses more fuel. We dislike the anti theft code as well.....Other than that, it is a great comfortable car that likes to be driven.

Glad you both had a great time in France...and the XM behaved it's self too. That, as usual, is an impressive mileage! Well done.

Something to report, and I wouldn't bother unless I do have a question this time....

Well it's home here and the clock, as she's parked outside, shows 150000. So we've done some 85K with this car in the last 4 years. But, it's not all good.
Funnily enough, this was the time when the newest part of my collection of exhausts....perished. Just spent some time googling new ones because I cannot weld this, the whole flange is about off and there's no room to weld. I've temporarily 'fixed' it so it will not break in 2.

I now find this link and I do wonder if these crossboxes of various XM-types would all fit?

In the mean time I've welded and patched up the exhaust parts now twice. But these repairs won't last forever.

I know not many of you have a 2.0 16v XM.
What I need to find out is the engine code, does any TCT driver recognize this code: RFV(XU10J4R) as the TCT?

I ask because I don't know if TCT engines existed with 135 BHP (I thought they were 150 BHP) I also don't know in which period the TCT was produced.

I find the 2.0 16v exhaust is hard to find for a reasonable price, and am in doubt if this is the right one:
