Finally it's got a new MOT

Post by zaphod » Mon Jan 14, 2013 12:45 pm

After two years of fiddling and worrying about the manifold gasket, finding a cracked turbine housing with added (unfounded) paranoia with the added issue of not relying on it as transport.. My TCT manual exclusive has an MOT.

There are some advisories to attend to, when its warmer I think. Top pinion seal on the rack is leaking, I belive this can be done in situ, or I may remove the pinion assy from the rack.. The two front flexis need attending to as they are starting to deteriorate and the passenger side inner track rod end is past it's best

Well done Zaphod, excellent stuff :D

If the pinion and rack is like the Xantia then yes, if you're a double-jointed octopus with the flexibility of the India Rubber man then the pinion can be done in-situ...

Best to let Pleiades do it as it's a tricky job...
