Just to confirm that it was the complete glass and surround that became detached on my car! Regards, Matthew T.

Paul, did you get a chance to go to the farm today or is the weather still fighting against you?

The snow sucks doesnt it Paul, makes getting anything done absolutely hopeless

When you do get some daylight see if you can whack some pictures up on here ;) Is it on alloys or trims?

Ok.. finally got to see it in daylight today...

Firstly, sorted the stuck back window... It was simply the centre console switch, changed it for another and hey presto, up it went!

Worth it for the side lights alone.... :D :D (above and below)

Image

I discovered tonight that the front spheres though look extreamilly shot on the outside have actually got movment in them!!

Stut tops are serviceable too..

Then, ah, the dent on the side....

Image

Then I tapped the side of it...

Image

Out it popped leaving just a 50p size dint just above the crease line! Result!

Image

The Broken window above.. grrrr

Broken rear end too...

Image

But those are the worse.... Looks a lot better now the window is sorted..

So there we have it. Already made a start, starts perfectly, window sorted, good front spheres..

Looking at it, only really needs an Exhaust (got) dipped beam sorting (relay as useual) pair of front tyres (also got at a push on another car)

Still need to get under her and check out the pipe work etc etc...

That's going to be a good 'un Paul and I reckon that rear window is very amenable to the repair John described. You can make it a feature - Paul's crazed XM 8-)

She'll be on the road in no time at all :D

Unfortunally with the window being stuck halfway down for the last 10 months the carpet on the rear drivers side in the footwell is virtually buggered..

Im gonna have to gut the inside and lift the carpet and dry her out in the summer...

possibly be looking for a new grey carpet for the rear... at some point..

Paul, what colour is she?

I don't know why but I had it firmly in my head she was a light blue one...

My mind does play some tricks on me at times
